In 2026, we’ll be celebrating the bicentenary of photography! To mark the occasion, come and discover this art form.
From 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm, children can explore photography through hands-on activities and browse through the selection of books on offer.
From 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm, there will be a screening of the ARTE documentary series ‘Kharkiv, Capital of Rebellious Photography’: 50 years ago, in response to censorship and the socialist realist dogma that governed the Soviet arts, eight photographers laid the foundations for an unofficial school in Kharkiv. A portrait spanning three generations that brings the images to life through the voices of their creators (5 episodes of 11 minutes each).
