The peak takes its name from its rounded shape, similar to that of its big brother, and the gypsum that looks like snow.

The route takes you to huge cairn (3,5 m), and a vast field of scree opens out in front of you afterwards, with the wreckage of a plane that crashed on December 19th 1969.

For the more experienced, a via cordata (a rocky footpath equipped with a cable) allows you to continue to the Col de Mey mountain pass. Not a good idea if you suffer from vertigo!
