The newt pond: stop off and take the time to observe this amphibian emblematic of wetlands. Be discreet so that it comes out of its hiding place. Warning: the alpine newt is a vulnerable and protected species in France!
Lac de la Rosière parking lot
By shuttle bus (line H), get off at the "Lac de la Rosière" stop.
By car, turn left at the first traffic circle when you reach Courchevel Moriond, drive up several hairpins towards the Belvedere and take the "Route de la Rosière", which dips to the left at the Totem, just past the Hotel Le Zenith.
Parking on the La Rosière site can be tricky, so we recommend parking at the Cimes Blanches parking lot (free covered parking in summer) in Courchevel Moriond, and taking the shuttle bus directly to the site entrance.
After the hut, cross the bridge and take the path on the right towards the botanical trail. The route climbs through a beautiful pine forest. Reach the valley floor via a path on the right. Once you've reached the path, turn left up the valley towards the cascade des poux. Return along the river to the lake.
